ARLINGTON, Texas – The Tulsa Shock is relocating from Tulsa, Oklahoma to North Texas and is being re-branded as the Dallas Wings.
After six seasons in Oklahoma the team moves to a 7, 000 seat arena at the University of Texas Arlington.
The team logo was introduced with team players Skylar Diggins and Odyssey Sims among those in attendance. Sims played high school basketball in Irving and at Baylor.
Majority owner Bill Cameron said the team is “a young and dynamic team with tremendous upside.” NBA deputy commissioner Mark Tatum calls the Dallas-Fort Worth area “home to some of the most passionate basketball fans in the world.”
All we can say is welcome ladies to DFW.
